Review: Alfred

Our professed love for Quicksilver is no secret. But as many of you know, the certainty of how much longer Quicksilver is going to be around is well… a concern. Still, ask any hardcore Mac user what’s the one secretive app they can’t live without, it’s probably going to be that application launcher that shares its name with a popular clothing brand. In the meantime three people decided to change that and created Alfred, the app.

Review: KeyCue

We aren’t going to lie – watching us work Mac OS X is a work of art. Windows fly and are suddenly resized, commands open apps and the mouse rarely sees any action except when it comes to multi-touch functions. Yet, no matter how it breaks down – we rely the most on a single key, the command key. In fact, we aren’t sure what we would do without it; yet, ergonis software decided to tell us what we were missing. We didn’t think it was possible, but we have learned a whole collection of shortcuts thanks to KeyCue.

Review: QuickSilver

Welcome to one of TheMacFeed’s “Old Posts” We will be updating these in the near future to make them more thorough

Quicksilver is by far one of the most useful applications for Mac. It is a short- cut for accessing everything on your Macintosh, from your applications to a song in iTunes.

You may be asking; who makes this application? The answer is that Quicksilver is made by Blacktree, the people who have brought us many other applications such as Wildcard and Visor.

From the start, you notice that it is a very small application that packs a big punch. You can access  more than just applications.  You can even control iTunes, just from the simple interface of QuickSilver.  If what you have heard so far about QuickSilver doesn’t sell it, the price tag will.  The application is  FREE and will change the way you use your Mac forever.
