Laptops stands are great – I frequently use a laptop stand to hold my laptop at a more ergonomic angle when using it on my lap or my desk. I, like many others, have found it highly uncomfortable to use a laptop in it’s “natural” position for extended periods of time. However, this tends to pose a problem to those that are on the move – it can be difficult to fit a laptop stand in your backpack, briefcase or carrying bag. Today’s product is called the AViiQ Portable Laptop Stand, and it poses a fantastic solution to that problem. Find out more after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

It looks like it’s going to be another weekend, as predictions for Apple’s next quarter seem to be hovering around $15 billion in revenue. Still, some nutjob thinks Apple stock is headed to $45 quickly – this comes in the wake of Apple stock continuing to hit all times high. Perhaps if AT&T hadn’t cost Apple an additional million iPhone 4s on launch day. Finally, AT&T confirmed that FaceTime won’t use any of those precious minutes.

(Yes, that was third then first person – get used to it) And since there really wasn’t a whole lot of non-WWDC Apple news (there actually is really little news on most weekends anyways) – it seemed logical to put this in the same post.

The Verizon CEO talked about having an iPad. Then all of those fun rumors regarding the Verizon iPhone started up again. But AT&T’s head isn’t scared. And then some crazy ideas regarding an all white iPhone emerged.
Apple released iPhone OS 4 Beta. A bunch of new features came including… tethering! (AT&T had no comment.) One that isn’t there is “Airplane Mode” prompting. Seems some people have kindly made some cases to protect Gizmodo’s $5000 iPhone. Apple has claimed 72% of the Japanese smartphone market. Steve must really like Vietnam. Now there is a prototype iPod touch with camera floating around.
iPhone mobile payments should be starting soon. Seems as if an iPhone heart rate monitor is going to be launching on June 1st. It was a big 36 hours for the app that was Tweetie and is now Twitter for iPhone. First, it was pulled from the app store. Then it quietly reemerged in the App Store with a very familiar icon. Then it went live.
