This will be without a doubt one of the simplest reviews I ever do on TheMacFeed. Michael over at Cyberguys sent me some samples of one of their newest products: the Ziotek Flexicord Mini. It’s one of those things that seems like a great a Secret Santa gift, or at least a practical one, which is a hell of a lot better than the USB drink cooler that got recalled recently. Anyways, my thoughts on the bendable iPod/iPhone cable after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »

There’s a bit of story around this review… When I stopped by Track Scan’s booth at CES there were quite a few models… including I suppose this one. There was that really stuck out though, a $50 model that provided audio quality on par with just about all the traditional headphones I had heard that day… TheMacFeed got the VIBRAS after CES all the way back in January… Daniel had them and for whatever reason couldn’t review these. For a while, it perplexed me. He has handled all the gaming headphones up until this point for a reason… I’m not a gamer. I’ll occasionally play some Madden or Forza, but I would never consider myself a gamer. Hence, he does all those reviews. This is however… my review.
So… I’ve been known to review a few backpacks over my time here at TheMacFeed. Today’s a little bit out of my comfort zone. When I first saw Archival Clothing’s Rucksack, I thought it just looked cool. It’s not really a backpack that I would review, mainly because it has zero to do with notebooks. Perhaps that’s a stretch. It’s just not made for notebooks. That being said, it’s not like it can’t hold notebooks. So the cool people at Archival Clothing made my day and sent one over… Read the rest of this entry »
There has been an ongoing debate in the Mac community regarding the usage of Blu-Ray technology on Apple’s fine line of computers. Some contend that optical discs are dying as a medium for software and multimedia distribution. Others disagree, but argue that Blu-Ray will not take off as a competitor to the DVD. I have mt own ideas about that topic, but politics aside (for now), my main aim is to show an intermediate solution for those of you who do desire to view Blu-Ray content on your Macs. Contrary to common belief, this is not impossible… Although it may not be what you were expecting either. Read on to learn more. Read the rest of this entry »
Yet another backpack review. This time it’s a specialized backpack. Guess it’s not the first time for that either. This rendition comes from MONO Cases, a company aimed at making storage products for music professionals. It’s called the Kondensor and I’m not really sure why, as it’s pretty big. Anyways, another backpack review after the jump.
Tuesday, Apple officially released the Magic Trackpad, a MacBook trackpad on steroids aimed at desktop users. I have actually only had the Magic Trackpad for a few hours now and believe it needs a bit more time before our complete review. For that reason, I bring you my first thoughts… Read the rest of this entry »
Given the choice between form and function, I generally choose function unless the case is extreme. I have used quite a few printers since the beginning of the year. I tried out two of HP’s top models: the OfficeJet 8500 and the Photosmart Premium Fax. There were things that I really liked about each of these printers, hence why I decided to try them. But in the end, I needed increased functionality over form. Fortunately, after finally selling my Photosmart Premium Fax in a huff of disappointment, Brother agreed to let me try one of their most popular color laser all-in-ones. Ladies and gentlemen, let me tell you from experience: The difference is incredible. Click the jump to read more. Read the rest of this entry »
