Yes, another bag. Today, the Loopbag Transit, a bag designed for 12-inch laptops or, for us, an iPad. Loopbag is a premium laptop bag supplier and their prices reflect it. The only question is, is it worth it?
The Transit, like all LoopBag bags, is round with a lot of zippers and pockets. I believe that is what makes their bags so great, you can easily access different areas in it without having to take everything out or dig around to find something in it, and unlike mostly every other bag, the Transit has no plastic and is made mostly from nylon and cotton with metal zippers, clips, etc.
The Transit is actually quite comfortable to use. I was especially impressed with how comfortable the shoulder strap was with its gel-like feel. As for the rest of the bag… fantastic. Period.
The Transit is made from Airgaurd nylon which is from Korea, designed to be light, soft, and durable. In addition, it is waterproof. Honestly, I haven’t tested its waterproof-ness, but I’ll take their word for it.
The Transit is a pretty slim bag with minimal padding, the only noticeable additional padding was around the netbook/iPad area which still isn’t a lot. I feel that it will survive the average person’s day with ease, but I wouldn’t recommend mountain climbing or boxing with it.
Loopbag is all about its unique zipper-rich design which offers an ample amount of zippers and pockets. Personally, I could fit an iPad, shoes, a shirt, headphones, an iPhone, and my chargers into it with some room to spare. If you need more room than that, I suggest you look at some of their larger bags like their backpack.
Price & Conclusion
Loopbag’s Transit is a great little bag, but with the price tag being $112 (sale price) I cant help but to think it isn’t worth the large price-tag. The bag is beautiful and made to last and if you can spare the cost, I’d recommend it, but for most people that is too much to pay, and because of that, I give LoopBag’s Transit a 4/5. (link)
