According to 9to5mac, the iPad will be available for pre-order tomorrow (March 12) at 5:30am Pacific time, which would translate to 8:30am for those of us on the east coast. Sadly, that is wrong according to a Apple store representative who told us that it will be available for pre-order at 12:01 EST. As for what will be available for pre-order, 9to5mac believes that “All models will be available for pre-order and wifi models will arrive on April 3rd, 3G models in late April.”
Update: We have changed the content above to reflect the answer of an Apple online store representative who told us that they are 100% sure that it will be available for pre-order at 12:01 EST on March 12. The reason: “if there was certain time within March 12th, Apple will have posted it, Once its March 12, 12:01, the option is open.”
Update 2: Apparently, the representative was wrong. Expect the pre-orders to begin at 8:30 EST
