9 to 5 Mac is reporting Apple might begin centralizing its advertising in New York. Macgasm found something a tad bit wrong with the Canadian Apple Store. P.A. Semi’s founder and CEO has left Apple. Sony opened it’s first Apple Sony Store. ifoAppleStore is reporting that Brazil won’t be getting an Apple Store any time soon. Hardmac is reporting that Apple didn’t get gold (they actually got nothing) when it came to being a partner for the Olympic games. U.S. Mac sales were up 39% in January and February.
Over the past three days, the war between Apple and Google has had some interesting revelations. Ars Technica had a fairly length article highlighting quite a bit of the feud. Much of it came from a New York Time’s article that indicated Steve Jobs might have felt betrayed by the launch of the Android. Then there was story regarding the hit that was put out by a Google employee on the iPhone. Each side picked up a couple of free agents. The Goldman stated that Steve Jobs “simply hates” Eric Schmidt.
AppleCare for the iPad isn’t available in some state. The numbers regarding the iPad are pouring in: in-store reservations, 40,000 (TUAW); Day 1 total, 120,000 (CNN/Fortune Apple 2.0); 152,00 was the estimate for the weekend (Cult of Mac); then the world got it’s brain back and orders slowed.
Just because the Google feud has a whole paragraph, doesn’t mean Nokia has stopped complaining. The Wall Street Journal wrote an article about the favorite phone in Redmond. Last week it was some company in Texas, this week it’s Illinois: Apple and a bunch of other companies are getting sued for patent infringement by some tiny company.
And in “TheMacFeed helps you waste money” column for the day: if you are looking to buy some vintage Apple gear – here you go.
