You may be asking “what does CleanMyMac do?” CleanMyMac is an amazing application that lets you remove (clean up) caches, logs, language fIles, universal binaries, extensions, and development junk (technical term). In addition to those features, CleanMyMac acts like AppZapper since it lets you remove the Application and all the extra files that your Mac wont remove. So basically, you are getting two applications in one.

To explain in a bit more detail the application removing feature… If you have CleanMyMac installed, and you drag an application to the trash, CleanMyMac will instantly open and find all the files you were about to leave behind so that you can fully remove that application from your computer. Cool right? You do not even have to remember to use it to remove an application. Genius!

The design of CleanMyMac is fantastic. It is very organized which makes the application extremely easy to use. The preferences are extremely simple, and actually do fulfill the word ‘preferences’ with three pages, rather then other applications that have ten pages. Also, the people at MacPaw update the look of the application regularly. For example, over the holidays they added a holiday theme with some new colors and a sign saying “happy holidays.” What other applications do that?

As for performance, with the recent updates to CleanMyMac, it is an extremely fast application that completes cleaning in seconds. We use it on both a MacBook Pro and an iMac and we yet to have any regrets about using CleanMyMac.

The built in tool to “tweet your result” is a fun little addition that helps you let the world know that your Mac is clean and healthy.

We usually use CleanMyMac once a week to remove our all our computers caches and logs which dramatically makes our computers faster.
