iTunes Update Gives Option For Dark Background

Posted onOctober 30th, 2009

Ever since the new iTunes released at the “Its Only Rock And Role Event” the background of the grid view has been white. With the recently released update (9.0.2) an option to have the grid background either dark or light has been added. We have to say that we are very happy with the new update!

Also 9.0.2  features:

  • “An improved look and feel, including a new Column Browser for easily browsing your artists or albums, movies, TV shows, and more.”
  • A brand new iTunes store interface
  • Support for Apple TV 3.0

Edit: Update once again stops Pre from syncing

Posted onOctober 27th, 2009

Tritton is known for their wide array of high-end multi-media products. Most of all they are known for their Gaming Headphones. Our review of the Tritton AX 720 Gaming Headset is after the break.

Review: EzFiles

Posted onOctober 27th, 2009

Since buying the iPhone there is one thing I’ve been missing, that is a way to stream content directly from my NAS, specifically movies and TV shows (formatted for iPod/iPhone) and watch them anywhere in my house. It may sound as though I am insane for wanting such a feature but for me there are times when I’m sitting around thinking that it would be nice.

Review: Prizmo

Posted onOctober 24th, 2009

Let’s not lie, we thought Prizmo sounded great and then we opened it up, and we thought it would be a really good idea, and then – well, we’ll get to that later. Prizmo is a product of Creaceed, previously known as eX-cinder, a company that has been along all things Cocoa for a while now. They have authored a couple of other notable apps: Hydra (HDR), Vocalia (iPhone Speech Recognition) and a couple of others. When we heard about Prizmo, we thought it sounded a little odd, but a great idea and we weren’t too far off in the end.

Interview with Matt Engstrom

Posted onOctober 22nd, 2009

Earlier this week we had the wonderful opportunity of speaking with Matt Engstrom. Matt is the Category Manager of Monitoring Products for Shure. We have reviewed quite a few Shure products, and almost all of them Matt has overseen. Headphone lovers get ready, after the jump is a bit of history and truth.

Review: NetBook

Posted onOctober 21st, 2009

NetBook from developer StaS Bandol is an iPhone/iPod Touch application meant to store records, and configuration settings for a variety of networks.  In a sense, it has the ability of becoming the network administrator’s best friend by storing valuable data in their pocket.  However, NetBook’s developers claim that this app is not only meant for network administrators, but for anyone “who has a lot of computers to manage.”  Since, I fall in the latter category; as a reviewer I looked at the application to see how if it would benefit a regular person.

Swan M10 Update

Posted onOctober 20th, 2009

Without a doubt, we receive more questions regarding the Swan M10 (Read the original review, here) then any other product. So, we only thought it was fair that we give another round of thought and a basic F.A.Q. given what we get asked. To get to the point, we love the Swan M10s more then we did when we first plugged them in. Age has treated them well and the sound has become richer and deeper as the speakers have fully burned in. Crisp highs are accompanied by deep lows as beauty exits the black tweeters and gold woofers.
