Software developer, EuroSmartz has developed a whole line of iPhone applications dedicated to making file management much easier. DocPrinter is one of their latest apps designed to help you accomplish these goals.
What is it?
Basically, DocPrinter is an iPhone app utility, which enables you to turn your iPhone or iPod Touch into a wireless hard drive (similar to WIFI HD), and allows you to share, transfer and print files over your wireless connection remotely from your device. In essence, DocPrinter is an amazing application that allows you to get so much more use out of your iPhone. Thus in order for DocPrinter to work correctly a desktop program called WePrint Server, from EuroSmartz must downloaded onto the computer in order to mount the iPhone/iPod Touch as a hard drive, and to print and transfer files.

Features:
DocPrinter comes with a variety of features:
• Printing remotely from iPhone via WiFi or 3G
• Printing and sharing files from email.
• Drag and drop files to iPhone while mounted as a network drive
• Open, view and print Office, iWork, and Zip files.
• View, transfer and print photos/images.
• Play audio and video.
• Edit documents.
• Print contacts.
• Print from DocPrinter web browser.
• Access to iDisk and WEBDAV accounts.
Interface
DocPrinter’s interface is structured into six different categories: Places, Documents, Web Pages, Photo Album, Camera and Contacts. The main menu is very easy to use and is graphic based. However, once you dive deeper into the options; the application’s usability becomes a little more complex to the point where there is a slight learning curve. Nonetheless, EuroSmartz has excellent product support for DocPrinter, and provides a lengthy and informative guide, and FAQ for the user. However, as I was reviewing this product I did find that I had to go back to the FAQ several times because I was a first time user. Nonetheless, this was not necessarily a bad thing it just goes to show how complex DocPrinter really is, and the many functions that it performs.
Functionality and Performance
DocPrinter performed quite well and basically does what it promises. Printing via the app was a breeze and painless. Transferring files back and forth was also very simple. Overall, I did not have any problems using the app, which performed exceptionally well adding more value and use to my iPhone. EuroSmartz has created an excellent application. In conclusion, I recommend DocPrinter and give it a 4.5/5.0. This application can be purchased for $4.99 from the iTunes store.
