iMovie is okay, but doesnt everyone want a step up? Created by Boinx Software, FotoMagico is your answer. It is a extremely powerful Movie maker which can be used to make Picture DVDs or Video DVDs.
First Impressions:
When I first opened FotoMagico I created a Picture DVD of a Panama Beach Vacation me and the family went on a few months back. I originally made this on iMovie but it took me a few hours to get everything just right. Don’t get me wrong, I love iMovie but when FotoMagico did the same work in twenty minutes I was hooked.
Interface:
The UI of FotoMagico is outstanding. It has an amazing Apple touch that actually is better than iMovie’s. From the sidebar to the main window, FotoMagico is the definition of perfection. I clicked on the About FotoMagico button and even that was made wonderfully, when detail is that remarkable, you know you have a winner.
Performance:
We tested this on an iMac (3.06 Ghz 4 Gb Ram) and it ran magnificently. We had no lag even when working on a project with over 100 pictures. We did not have to go slide by slide to put in the transactions because it did it for us. It took minimal effort to make something that will blow your mind away.
Detail in Curve:
Yes, iMovie can do this as well but not at the magnitude of FotoMagico. When you are using Pan and Zoom, you can get the picture to the perfect degree and size just by dragging the nob.
Do you hear that music?
If you are wondering if you can access your iTunes library and iPhoto, the answer is yes. On the sidebar you can select Images, Movies, Audio, and options. And in them, you can get just about all media on your Mac to help you make the perfect Video.
Easy for Beginners:
As we mentioned above, we made an outstanding video the first time we opened this application. This is great for you first time movie makers. Everything is self explanatory, and nothing is hidden, you can get that perfect video in less than an hour.

We have yet to find one Con with FotoMagico, it gives us everything we have ever wanted and then some. We cant say enough how great it is, and it deserves the 5/5 we are awarding it. As of this moment, FotoMagico is the best application I have ever reviewed.
